Analyst-IA Enterprise Support Job Description:
This IA certification and accreditation support position that performs C&A coordination of USSOCOM systems and networks. He/she advises and assists the customer with the DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and developing a Plan of Action and Milestones for resolving network deficiencies in accordance with DODI 8510.01.

The duties of this task include assessing network compliance against controls listed in DODI 8500.2 and creating C&A packages. The end goal is to ensure the integrity of customer systems by identifying and mitigating potential shortcomings and vulnerabilities. General duties include: Act as C&A project manager. Review submitted project documentation for completeness and accuracy. Develop an understanding of systems and applications which require certification. Monitor and track C&A projects and those systems that require re-accreditation. Maintain a document repository where C&A project documentation is stored. Work closely with project developers and Information Assurance Managers to identify the appropriate certification/approval processes and authorities. Record/register actions concerning project approvals to operate in the C&A database. Coordinate C&A actions and system testing with appropriate security personnel. Develop risk assessment reports: based on DIACAP review, assess systems against Information Assurance policies and regulations, analyze risk, recommend mitigating countermeasures, and write short, succinct risk assessment and certification reports. Assemble and submit C&A packages to the Certifying Officer and Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA).

The contractor should be familiar with C&A policy and directives, DIACAP, and DCID 6/3. The services provided by this contractor will help ensure SIE is protected from both inside and outside threat.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in computer or systems science discipline and three (3) years of progressive, relevant experience. Four (4) years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

CompTIA Security+ or higher certification required prior to date of hire.
ITIL V3 Foundations preferred.

Working knowledge of security hardening of Microsoft and UNIX-based operating systems.

Detailed knowledge and experience with DOD IA processes and policies (e.g., DoDI 8500.2, DoDI 8510.1, and DCID 6/3)

Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Physical Requirements:
Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Work Environment:
Work will be performed in a cubical environment inside a large facility. Some travel may be required depending requests by the customer.

Equipment and Machines:
General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday).

Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
