Position will be filled as an Analyst I, II, III, or Sr, depending upon the successful candidates qualifications.
This position is responsible for providing planning and decision support analyses relating to the Entergy utility''s generation supply plan; and designing and developing tools and methods to support those activities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing long-term power supply options and identifying ways to optimize the value of Entergy''s regulated resource portfolio. Areas of responsibility include generation resource evaluation including economic, operational, and financial analysis; integrated resource planning and generation portfolio optimization including optimization within a RTO Day 2 market; and related regulatory support activities. The person responsible for these activities must be able to work with and across a broad range of disciplines and functions and must be able to work through conceptual ideas to define problems and solutions in a complex and dynamic environment. The individual''s responsibilities include developing models, reports and presentations, performing complex studies and analyses, and presenting and defending findings and recommendations to peers and management. As an integral member of the planning team, this individual will interact with other personnel, departments, and organizations to develop innovative solutions to a wide range of power supply issues. Analyst I - Zero (0) to Two (2) years applicable and progressive experience.
Analyst II - Two (2) to Four (4) years applicable and progressive experience.
Analyst III - Four (4) to Six (6) years applicable and progressive experience.
Sr. Analyst - Six (6) to Eight (8) years applicable and progressive experience
*Bachelor''s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, math, economics or other related field Required
MBA is preferred.
Knowledge of RTO (Regional Transmission Organization) Day 2 markets is preferred.
Possess initiative to work independently and adept at working on team assignments with other personnel, departments, and organizations.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft toolkit applications. Capability to produce analyses that range from quick response preliminary screening level through extensively detailed regulatory grade documents.
Capacity to adapt to changing work priorities and study assumptions.
Ability to prioritize work on multiple simultaneous projects.
Strong project management skills and ability to lead and drive projects through to completion.
