Provide analytical support for the mid-office function for the regulated
subsidiaries of Entergy, an integrated electric utility company. Those duties
will include the identification, quantification and communication of market
and credit risk associated with fuel, purchased power and RTO-related
transactions of the regulated utility.
Analyze positions and projects from a market risk perspective by raising and
reporting issues to be addressed by the business unit. Projects and positions
are based on the regulated generation portfolio.
Track market prices and volatilities. Provide independent review of market
assessments. Interface with credit risk management to support mark-to-market
valuation and to address any collateral requirements.
Provide and/or support reporting requirements for public disclosure and
Implement, administer and report on portfolio risk metrics, including but not
limited to Value-at-Risk (VaR).
Support business unit in implementing and supporting third-party risk
management system to support regulated generation portfolio and RTO-related
Stay abreast of potential changes in law that could impact market risk
Serve as Subject Matter Expert in regulated market and/or credit risk issues
for regulated Corporate Risk Committee. In addition, review full proposal
documents from general business or operational risk perspectives to enhance
Assist in defining credit terms, exposure calculations and collateral
rationale for wholesale energy transactions. This effort involves
considerable coordination with commercial and corporate staff.
Initiate and respond to collateral calls.
Work with legal to negotiate master agreements with counterparties and
negotiate credit terms for new contracts.
Analyze credit ratings and review credit thresholds for counterparties.
Provide oversight of Approved Counterparty Lists.
Document risk management practices for Sarbanes-Oxley, business continuity,
and other internal needs.
Work with business unit to ensure compliance with the Corporate Risk Control

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree (Finance, Accounting, and
Engineering is desirable).
The ideal candidate will have solid analytical skills, will be a self-starter,

a good communicator (both verbal and written), and should thrive in an open
and collaborative environment.
Other desirable skills and experience include direct market and credit risk
management experience in regulated and/or unregulated wholesale energy
Years of Experience:
Analyst I: 0-2 years professional experience
Analyst II: 2-4 years professional experience
Analyst III: 4-6 years professional experience
Sr. Analyst: 6+years professional experience
Sr. Staff Analyst: 8+years professional experience
