Technology Integration Specialist
Has experience with and/or extensive knowledge of educational technologies.
Creates, implements and coordinates technology professional development and training opportunities for district staff.
Assists in the coordination and planning of the district 1:1 programs K-12.
Develops training tools (ie: webinars, documentation, blogs) to be used by staff in the district
Must be able to:
Stand, walk, reach, bend and occasionally lift between 10 and 50 pounds.
Operate and use classroom equipment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates competence in subject field(s) assigned and use of technology for instructional purposes.
Provides training and support of instructional staff in the use of technology for their professional and classroom use. (Workshops, telephone support, classroom visitations, walk in support, summer training program, etc.)
Assesses technology needs to improve instruction, make recommendations, and promote initiatives.
Participates in planning and implementation of district technology workshops and training projects.
Takes primary ownership of learning and mastering new district technology (equipment and software).
Trains, supports and works alongside district Turn-key Technology Teachers and Technology Teacher Trainers.
Develops and maintains an on-line repository of technology related documentation, links and support that align with district curricula and technology offerings.
Oversees participation in district technology programs, goals and activities.
Acts as liaison for the Director of Information Technology.
Coordinates the district's 1:1 programs (K-4 & 5-12), including, but not limited to
Works with the principals and supervisors to provide access to technology resources and services of the technology facilitator at point of need.
Maintains professional competence in the area of technology through participation in in-service activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities.
Organizes, participates in and attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
Takes reasonable precautions to protect staff, students, equipment, materials and facilities.
Cooperates professionally with other members of the staff.
Organizing, participating in, and leading parent and community technology information sessions/workshops.
Performs all other duties within the scope of the position, as may be assigned.
