Purpose:

- This position is part of the GOMAS (Global Operating Model

Application Services) SAP Application Development team with a primary

focus of supporting the Supply Chain functional teams. These teams are

comprised of the Ecommerce, Order Management, Planning and Scheduling,

and Source/Deliver areas. The position is responsible for the design,

development, implementation and support of SAP custom applications.

Key Accountabilities:

- Work cohesively with Information Technology resources, business

analysts, consultants and business representatives

- Work with functional teams in order to understand the functional

requirements and assist in the creation of solid functional

specifications

- Provide technical expertise to help formulate a solution to

satisfy the functional requirements

- Develop custom applications which meet the functional

requirements

- Define and document technical specifications for custom developed

applications

- Perform unit testing to ensure the completeness and accuracy of

the solution

- Follow application and system architecture guidelines

- Work with team members to ensure the delivered design meets the

business requirements

- Investigate issues in test and production environments and

provide resolution recommendations

- Provide recommendations to the functional teams on how to improve

existing and future custom programs

- Participate and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with other

team members

- Help to plan and determine the best overall implementation

approach for solutions spanning across multiple project releases and

environments

Knowledge and Experience:

Functional Skills:

- Ability to clearly articulate verbal and written requirements

between customers and technical resources

- Demonstrate ability to perform analysis and to facilitate and

translate requirements into technical requirements

- Experience in multiple SAP modules preferred

- Ability to function in a constantly changing environment

- Capability to take ownership of a task or problem and drive it to

its resolution without supervision

- Ability to manage a small team to complete specific short term

projects or tasks

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to help plan and prioritize work across multiple teams

and environments

- Ability research and learn new technologies on the fly

Technical Skills:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or

other related field, or equivalent work experience

- Minimum of 8 years hands on ABAP programming experience

Required

- Strong understanding of the main functions in the ABAP Workbench

- Experience using BAPIs, BADIs, BDCs, user exits and common

dictionary objects

- Experience developing reports utilizing ALV

- Experience with screen painter / module pool programs

- Experience creating/modifying SAPScripts and Smartforms

- Understanding of ALE/IDOCs

- Understanding of ABAP Objects

Preferred

- Experience using ABAP Objects programming techniques is required

in some areas

- Dynpro experience required in some areas

- Workflow experience a plus

- Java experience
