Scope of the Job
Provides application support and maintenance for the system applications. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any application inquires. Performs modifications and/or enhancements to systems including changes to profiles, master files, reports, systems design, and documentation requirements. Serves as technical support for the applications that are supported.
Works closely with the Subject Matter Expert of the HR, Payroll, Benefits and Finance Departments.
Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for any application inquires regarding Electronic Medical Records system.
The essential functions are the primary dimensions for performance review.
Responds to user problems and questions regarding functionality, operations, input/output, and general operating procedures for system applications.
Responds to technical, network and equipments issues from vendors and end users.
Coordinates implementation and connectivity between multiple vendors and end users.
Creates, maintains and distributes applicable lists and documents according to specific applications.
Provides/recommends innovative ideas, processes and/or procedures for enhancements, additions and/or modifications to improve the existing systems.
Produces and maintains a variety of reports and/or queries as required and/or requested.
Produces and maintains management reports for Administration, Providers, Management and end users.
Analyzes business and regulatory requirements and applies these requirements to applications when appropriate.
Reports system issues to vendors. Monitor and test resolution issues until resolved.
Analyzes and test areas of expertise during implementation of upgrades during upgrade process.
Provides one-on-one end-user training for provider/employee community.
Assists co-workers in functional/technical areas of expertise.
Assists operations to notify customers of system downtime.
Assists Application Trainers with training development and classes as needed.
Performs other duties/projects as assigned.
Builds and maintains Allscripts modules including menu and screen development.
Builds and maintains Allscripts templates and user lists.
Creates and maintains security and user ids on Allscripts system.
Notifies transcription company of updates, adds and deletes for access.
Builds and maintains Allscripts dictionaries.
Tests all equipment and network connectivity on site before implementation at that site.
Knowledge of medical procedure coding and diagnosis coding (CPT-4, ICD-9).
On call rotation schedule 24x7.
Creates and maintains security and user IDs on Lawson system.
Schedules and coordinates implementation of patches and upgrades, including other third party vendors.
Builds and maintains Lawson add-ins templates
Manipulates data for integration with financial and government systems
Creates conversion files for System data uploads
Must be able to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations. Must be capable of dealing with periodic cyclical workload pressures and levels of responsibility. Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria. Must have the adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Requires the ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.

Minimum of four - six years appropriate experience.
Experience with computerized physician AR, scheduling or other related medical billing/management systems/or electronic health record.
Knowledge of clinical and ancillary departmental operational processes required.
Substantial knowledge of medical billing required.
Knowledge of billing rules and operational issues.
Preferred experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software with Microsoft office products.
Experience with advance features of Microsoft Excel to include Pivot Tables and Vlook-ups.
Education and Certifications
High School Graduate or GED equivalent required. Associated Degree preferred
College course work and/or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
