The application support analyst works with Customer Service, Account Management, Developers, Testers, Product Managers and Customers to ensure thorough analysis of incidents and business circumstances involved. Activities include troubleshooting and testing to identify the possible cause of incidents; determining the appropriate course of action to resolve the issues with minimal disruption, and establishing processes to ensure application availability, with the ability to work flexible hours.
Assists in developing/revising policies and procedures for supporting new and ongoing applications
•Provide customer and technical support to customers through inbound phone, web and e-mail requests and independently identify, troubleshoot, document and replicate customer problems and then escalate complex problems according to escalation procedures.
•Retain ownership of all cases throughout the resolution process, report enhancement requests received from customers regarding product, application or documentation.
•Document all requests for assistance into Help Desk system; develop documentation for customer support and problem resolution solutions knowledge base.
•Ensure resolution of Service Desk incidents of medium and high complexity in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, configuration guidelines and service level agreements for applications. Interfaces with Account Management, Customer Service, Product, and Development areas to ensure problems are resolved.
•Assist less experienced team members with troubleshooting customers' problems. Serve as backup to Help Desk Support Analysts.
•Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, Java programing or role as junior programmer experienced is a plus.
•4+ years’ experience in an enterprise application support role.
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Hands-on experience with relational databases (MSSQL, etc.) is required.Must have an understanding of SQL scripting.
•Hands-on experience with Windows, and/or Linux environments preferred.
•Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a technical, team-oriented environment, demonstrate customer empathy, good customer diplomacy skills, and problem ownership.
•Certifications from Microsoft regarding SQL Databases, Programing Languages, or IT methodologies or concepts such as ITIL are desired
