Provide production support for business critical IT Systems (may require 24 *7 on-call support).
Manage production releases.
Monitor production systems; identify and resolve production problems in a timely manner to meet service levels and standards.
Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions.
Perform expert-level engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of Sales and Marketing applications.
Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments.
Monitor program execution for expected performance.
Experience in operational support and hands-on implementation.
Support custom developed solutions using Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL server 2005 and 2008.
Hands-on experience building, deploying and supporting Microsoft .NET applications on IIS 6, 7 and 7.5.
Setting up IIS web sites and deploying applications.
Experience supporting custom developed solutions using Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL server 2005 and 2008.
Requires a BS in Computer Science or related field (Computer Engineering / Math / etc.) Hands-on experience building, deploying, and supporting J2EE applications using JBOSS and/or IBM Websphere Application Server v6/v7.
Oracle Sqlplus, Sqlldr, and external tables experience. Korn Shell experience (ksh, csh, bash, sh) Log4j, JUnit.
Unix AIX /HP-UX 11/Sun - At least one of these three or a comparable competitor is acceptable.
Expereince with Windows Servers, IIS and .Net.
Strong communication and analysis skills.
Must be independent and self-motivated, with a knack for taking the initiative, overcoming obstacles.
Must be able to quickly master and apply new technologies.
Experience in Telecom industry preferred.
Agile Software Development experience preferred.
