Looking for an opportunity to be a key contributor for a growing company who specializes in fluid power? Our client is looking for an outgoing individual with five years’ experience working with fluid power systems and control systems that is looking for a challenging position with great opportunities for advancement.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This person reports to the Operations Manager and will provide you with the responsibilities of:

Working with customers and sales to collaborate on the design of their new products/systems that will meet their functional requirements in a cost effective manner

Being the “technical liaison” between customers and sales

Helping trouble shoot and resolve any mechanical and control issues

Generating system designs and working with drafting to produce drawings using ProE, setting up the BOM and managing the projects from concept to production

Supporting the on-going improvements of existing systems by designing and testing changes to the design or process, processing ECN’s, and providing technical support

Coordinating the building of prototypes

Helping customers understand performance data and recommending improvements

Working closely with customers, sales, and marketing to implement designs that will meet specific customer or market requirements using existing components

Providing technical service in the field to diagnose issues, work with customers to resolve application issues, and track failure trends

Job Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

Two year Fluid Power Technical degree desired or equivalent work experience

2 years’ experience in a fluid power design, technician or related position

Strong understanding of the product development process

Excellent communication skills

Capable of handling multiple projects with varying scope

Previous experience with CAD software, ProE preferred

Willing to travel up to 10%
