The Applications Engineer - Software position performs a variety of engineering work in the planning and design of material handling systems for large distribution centers. Our Applications Engineers design, develop, and test the manufacture and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems. Our Applications Engineers also plan and implement research methodology and procedures related to engineering projects, as well as prepare and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and maps to ensure installations and operations conform standards and customer requirements. This individual is responsible for performing detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, installation, and maintenance standards and specifications. Depending on their level of expertise, they may also lead and direct projects and serve as an advisor to less skilled personnel. Software Upgrades has been growing steadily and is in high demand within the organization. In this pivotal role you will partner with field offices, handling turnkey system modifications which have proprietary software requirements.
- A minimum of five (5) years prior related experience is required in the Material Handling systems industry
- Proficient PLC Machine Control experience (Allen Bradley)
- Bachelors of Engineering or equivalent in experience
- SQL database experience a plus
- Programming in Microsoft C# and in a Windows Server OS environment required
- 25%-30% travel required
