The Liquids Maintenance Area Manager is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of Liquids Department equipment and systems to ensure maximum reliability and craftsmanship, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Responsibilities:
Initiates, implements, and manages the Liquids department maintenance program based on best practices in the household detergent industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Monitors the budgets, use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.

Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of Liquids department equipment.

Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving Liquids operations and solving maintenance-related problems.

Supervises and develops plant maintenance personnel.

Ensures that maintenance supervisors, leads and technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance supervisors. Develops supervisors in any competency needs.

Communicates directly with the Liquids departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years prior maintenance supervisory experience.

In depth knowledge of preventive maintenance programs with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) proficiency.

Experience with repairs and maintenance of packaging and processing equipment.

Bachelors degree in a related technical field or certificate or diploma from trade school in related field and five years experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process preferred.
