Area/District Sales Manager - Orlando
This position will be based out of Orlando.
Accountable for developing store teams, achieving sales goals and focusing on the improvement of the customer experience.
Perform store visits with the Store Managers to evaluate and identify business opportunities to improve sales growth, and customer service.
Network/recruit/interview/select management level candidates; and identify sales associates.
Appraise & recognize associate performance by delivery of annual performance appraisals and merit adjustments.
Provide strategies and opportunities for retention by creating individual development plans and career pathing.
Partner with Store Managers and HR Rep to investigate, assess, and resolve employee relations matters.
Assist in the development of strategies to increase area sales, adjust payroll based on trends, and ensure that staffing plans are in alignment with the goals of the business.
Create action plans to increase profit & control variable expenses by monthly evaluation of stores P&L statements.
Ensure stores maintain and follow current operating policies and procedures.
Work directly with key corporate business partners to ensure the area meets established merchandise, inventory and safety standards.
Maintain visual standards in stores, set by Oakley visual department.
Where applicable ensure the fluidity of new store openings by training and developing new store teams on the standards set forth by the organization.
Train store management team in a variety of company programs for implementation in stores.
Work closely with Regional Sales Manager and Director of Stores on above functions.
2 to 3 years store management experience in a highly complex business environment (retail experience essential).
Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to influence business partners at all levels.
Proven ability to create teams by identifying top talent and train/develop successful business leaders while increasing profitability.
Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook.
Proven ability to allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; may require weekends and evenings.
Ability to travel throughout the district (overnight stays may be required).
Four-year business related college degree preferred, but not required.
Experience in apparel, accessories, or footwear retail organizations.
Knowledge of Oakley and its products.
