Responsible for providing technical support to contractors, end users and distributor staff who are specifying, installing, operating or repairing Mitsubishi HVAC product. Communicates with senior service managers as necessary to solve complex problems. Conducts training meetings and provides on-site installation/start-up training to customers as appropriate.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Solving common technical problems associated with HVAC equipment.
Schedules and presents technical training programs.
Provides “on-site” installation and start-up training for jobs of 25 or more systems when requested.
Provides technical support via telephone to a large volume of customers.
Reads and understands wiring schematics and refrigerant circuit diagrams and conveys information to customers.
Operates refrigerant recovery equipment in compliance with governmental regulations.
Up to 50% travel may be required.
The non-essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintains currency of technical literature at distributor level.
Recommends service parts for stocking.
Refurbish product when necessary.
Provide technical support at trade shows and conventions.
Review warranty claims for abuse and trends.
Performs other job functions as assigned.
Associates degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in servicing HVAC products.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills required.
Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.
