Skidmore College's Department of Music seeks an accomplished artist/teacher in voice to fill the full-time faculty position of Artist-in-Residence beginning in the fall of 2014. Candidates should have an appropriate terminal degree and proven teaching experience with young-adult voices in a higher-education setting. We are particularly open to candidates from underrepresented groups and to those individuals who have experience with diverse populations and can contribute to the diversity and excellence of Skidmore's academic community. Applicants are requested to include in their cover letter information about how their qualifications and experiences will contribute to their teaching, research, and/or service to Skidmore's academic excellence.
DMA in voice or equivalent
Accomplishment as both a performing artist and an educator, with experience teaching vocal students at the college level.
