The City of Cedar Falls is accepting applications for a part-time Ass’t. Equipment Mechanic (year round up to 29 hrs/week) for the Park Div. Golf Section. Hours will typically be Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m. in the winter and 6:00 a.m. during spring/summer/fall. FY13 pay rate: $13.507/hr. Responsibilities include diagnosing/completing preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic malfunctions or failures on gasoline or diesel power units for light duty equipment including mowers and specialty golf equipment. Duties may also involve maintenance/repair to pumps, compressors, motors and similar equipment and operating golf equipment for on course maintenance. Completion of the 12th grade or GED equivalent and experience in skilled equipment mechanic work or any equivalent combination of experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Candidates must also have a good driving record and possession of, or ability to obtain, a class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), depending on job requirements. Post-offer pre-employment physical/back assessment/drug screen required. Position is subject to DOT random drug/alcohol screening. Qualifications:
