Internship Program Statement
The internship program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to develop talent
for potential future entry-level positions.
Our internships are full-time positions (40 hrs/week).
Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays).
To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution, or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship.
Candidates who do not meet this guideline will not be considered. This position will start on May 13 and end on August 9.
Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time.

Qualifications
Education
Required:
Must currently be enrolled in an accredited University-level educational program, or have graduated from one within the six-months prior to the start of the internship.
Entering 2nd year of college at a minimum.
EE, ME, IE Field of Study (Major)
Desired:
Completed 2nd year of college at a minimum. Not yet fulfilled job in field of study.
Skills:
Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
Communication skills – interpersonal, presentational and written
Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software and multiple programs;
ACCESS Data base knowledge
Integration – joining people, processes and systems
Problem solving
Innovative thinking around overall process setup
and establishing best in class Mfg
Work flexibility (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.)
Work schedule will vary based on project progress and initiatives
