The Assessment System Support Position will be a shared position between the Professional Education Unit (PEU) and the Office of Assessment & Testing (OAT) responsible for assisting and supporting the ongoing assessment and accreditation activities of the PEU and College-wide. Primary objectives will be to provide configuration, scheduling, management, and user support of key assessments in the PEU along with collection and configuration of department level assessment data College-wide. Both offices recognize that this position will require flexibility in being able to shift to the area of greatest need depending on current project and assessment priorities. The person hired for this position will be expected to work cooperatively and participate in the tasks outlined below along with other personnel from these two offices under the direction of the coordinator of the Office of Assessment & Testing and the PEU Assessment Coordinator.
PEU: 1. Support Course-Based Assessment Activities a. Configuring course-based assessments in Tk20 b. Scheduling, monitoring, and supporting course-based assessments in Tk20 c. Data reporting and data driven decision making for course-based assessments d. Managing the Tk20 Document Room for Course-based assessments 2.Support Field Experience Assessment Activities a. Configuring field experience assessment documents in Tk20 b. Scheduling, monitoring, and supporting field experience assessments in Tk20 c. Data reporting and data driven decision making for field experience assessments d. Managing the Tk20 Document Room for Field Experience assessments e. Support field experience and clinical practice placement data management 3.Support the implementation of Advisement/Program Tracking and Applications in Tk20 a. Transition Point Configuration in Tk20 for each certification program and major in the PEU b. Managing the Tk20 Document Room for Transition Point Configuration c. Configuring, scheduling, monitoring, and supporting PEU Application processes 4.Support of General PEU Assessment Cycle and Tk20 Activities : a. Training for faculty and students on Tk20 b. Assisting in the support of alumni use of Tk20 c. Configuring and managing the utilization of Tk20 portfolios d. Provide general troubleshooting and assistance to PEU faculty, staff, students, SBTEs on Tk20 questions and issues
Office of Assessment & Testing: 1.Support Institutional Assessment Cycle Activities with Tk20 Data Entry a. Configuring and entering Student Learning Outcomes into Tk20 b. Configuring department assessment plans into Tk20 c. Configuring and assisting departments with the entry of curriculum maps d. Data entry and data reporting for departments to support data driven decision making e. Collecting and recording Closing the Loop reports from departments 2.Support Strategic Planning Activities using Tk20 and MS ACCESS a. Supporting and assisting OAT in the use of Tk20 or MS Access to support College Strategic Planning activities and initiatives 3.Support of General OAT and Tk20 Activities: Training, troubleshooting a. Training for faculty and students on Tk20 b. Provide general troubleshooting and assistance to faculty, staff and students on Tk20 questions and issues c. Serve as a liaison between the College and Tk20 Product Consultants for resolving questions and issues
Knowledge Areas: Excellent organizational; presentation; written and oral communication skills; knowledge of education profession and performance assessment; technology skills in Microsoft Office Suite, campus technology systems and video.
Required Qualifications: * BA/BS degree * Appropriate technology skills using programs such as Microsoft Office; willingness to learn other software as needed * Presentation, teaching or training experience * Highly-developed organizational and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to respond to inquiries in a calm, supportive manner * Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field * Knowledge of the Education Profession * Knowledge of performance assessment * Good understanding and commitment to the continuous improvement model * Experience with campus technology systems including: Tk20, BANNER * Experience with video including capture, compression and editing * Experience with data analysis including creation of summary tables, charts, and reports
