Job Description

Assist in JPMorgan Asset Management's proxy voting and review process

Interact with portfolio managers and research analysts to communicate policies regarding proxy voting and governance issues, help formulate appropriate view on votes to maximize interests of our clients and provide managers with research as needed on governance issues

Ensure that investment professionals are aware of all board actions

Serve as vendor relationship contact for external vendors for day to day implementation issues

Assist the mutual funds group regarding NPX filings

Identify and document all ‘conflict of interest’ votes

Work with the Private Bank to ensure any conflicts regarding voting of mutual funds is identified and documented

Create reports on voting for the committee and portfolio managers

Work on research projects as identified by the Head of Corporate Governance and/or the CIO of U.S. equities

Provide ad-hoc proxy analytics

Assist with policy review and drafting proxy voting guideline enhancements

Attend proxy review meetings with clients

Compile proxy presentation materials for JPM Mutual Funds Board and clients

Prepare and distribute Proxy Committee Meeting Minutes

Work with Investor Director to prepare for quarterly review meetings, attend meetings and prepare and distribute meeting minutes.

Provide support, as needed, to the U.S. equity cpm team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

·

Three to five years of financial services experience preferably in Asset Management with some exposure to corporate governance

·

Strong research, analytical , communication, teamwork and organizational skills

·

Excellent problem solving skills with an ability to apply sound judgment

·

Ability to work effectively with highly confidential data

·

Function effectively in a high volume,

rapid pace, deadline-oriented environment

·

Strong PC skills – Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel required
