Economic Analyst – Investment Strategy Team

Investment Strategy Team:
The Economic Analyst will be a member of the Investment Strategy team of J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Private Bank. The Investment Strategy team is responsible for the development of investment strategy, tactical and strategic asset allocation, and portfolio construction for the global client base. The team uses best-in-class investment solutions, both proprietary and third-party, to implement their recommendations, the mix of which is tailored to meet the specific needs of our global client base.

Position Summary:
The role requires strong computer, math and econometric skills. This person will be preparing charts and presentations for the economics team as well as conducting economic research on various topics, including monetary economics, growth economics, labor economics, and fiscal policy. The Economic Analyst will report to the Chief Economist.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
BA/BS in economics or other quantitative field combined with 0-2 years of experience, ideally at a central bank or financial institution.

Economic modeling experience and strong command of Excel are required.

Familiarity with a programming language (EViews, Matlab, Visual Basic, other) is preferred.

Professionally mature and confident with the ability to engage well with both internal and external clients of the firm.
