The Institution:

Texas Southern University was founded in 1927 and became state institution in 1947. Teach and advise graduate in the Counselor Education Program core with concentrations in Community, School, and/or Rehabilitation Counseling. Engage in research projects, grant writing, and publishing for rank and achievement of tenure. Maintain required office hours as specified by policy. Actively collaborate on projects within the department, the college, the university, as well as the community; and perform other job duties as assigned.


Earned doctorate in Counselor Education , or closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Work Experience:

Preferred candidates will have a minimum of three years experience in teaching at the college level and proficiency in teaching online. Successful candidates will provide documented evidence of the following: (1) experience in teaching graduate level course, (2) evidence of scholarly research and grant writing, and (3) experience in using e-learning technology for instruction preferred, or a willingness to be trained.
