Wilkes University invites application for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering. The Division of Engineering and Physics housed within the College of Science and Engineering offers five undergraduate programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Applied Science and Engineering and Engineering Management, M.S degree programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, and Engineering Management.Applicants should have excellent oral and written communication skills and show promise for research, and commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education in Electrical Engineering. The Division seeks candidates with interdisciplinary expertise with demonstrated record in research and teaching or collaborative experience across other engineering fields.Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or affiliated field.
Members of the faculty in the department pursue a broad research agenda that spans traditional areas and emerging interdisciplinary investigations in microfabrication and nanofabrication, semiconductors, communications, power, computers, controls and mechatronics.This position specifically requires expertise in communications and related disciplines such as the use of digital techniques in communications, antennas, testing techniques, and electromagnetics in general. Familiarity with practical applications and an ability to work with industrial partners are important.
