The School of Education is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Health Education.
Qualifications: We are looking for a dynamic faculty member eager to teach the next generation of teachers. Successful candidates will have an earned doctorate in health education or health promotion (ABD or Master's Level with strong content background and successful teaching experience considered). Successful teaching experience is required. Competence in program assessment, standards-based teaching, and instructional technology are a plus.
Start Date: August 2012
Responsibilities: Teaching contemporary health and health education methods, courses, field-based supervision, advising, professional service, and sustained scholarly activity.
Professional Development: Francis Marion provides generous support for research, including conference travel. In addition, summer research stipends are available on a competitive basis.

Located in Florence, SC, a growing city with a vibrant arts culture, FMU is within easy driving distance of beach resorts, such as Myrtle Beach, and areas of historical interest, including Charleston and Savannah.
