Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Administration (Full-time, Faculty)

General Description :
St. Louis College of Pharmacy invites applications for a tenure-track, calendar year faculty position at the level of assistant or associate professor. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. with a strong background in health economics, pharmacoeconomics, health outcomes, economic evaluation or decision analysis applied to health care. A strong record of research and some teaching experience desired.
- Devote significant effort to scholarly activity with special emphasis health outcomes, pharmacoeconomics, consumer health behavior, managed health care, health systems operations, and information systems in health care. There will be opportunities to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of experienced researchers.
- Teach components of the required Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, such as health systems management, health economics or pharmacoeconomics. There will be opportunity for development of an elective course in the candidate’s area of interest.
- Provide service to the College and the profession of pharmacy through advising students, contributions to professional pharmacy organizations and College committees.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration with a strong background in health economics, pharmacoeconomics, health outcomes, economic evaluation or decision analysis applied to health care or a similar field. Prior research experience is required, preferably in health outcomes or pharmacoeconomics. Preference for experience teaching graduate level students. Strong interpersonal skills with outstanding communication. Demonstrated support for diversity and inclusion; the ability to incorporate diversity, cultural competency, cultural competency or social justice into teaching research or service is desired. Strong technology skills, particularly SAS, Stat, SPSS or other statistical analysis software.
