Park University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Political Science beginning in August 2014 either at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Political Science or equivalent terminal degree by August 2014. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach a range of courses in the Political Science curriculum and oversee the Legal Studies program. Preferred subfields include American Politics, Political Theory, and Law. The ability to teach the following courses would be welcomed: Constitutional Law, Introduction to Law, Parties and Elections, Political Philosophy, and Public Policy. Candidates also must have a demonstrated commitment to scholarly research and professional service.

Park University, a private, not-for-profit University, founded in 1875, offers academic programs at 40 campus centers nationwide and online. The main campus is located approximately 15 minutes north of downtown Kansas City on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River, in Parkville, Missouri.
