The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Albany campus) invites applications from qualified candidates to join the College at the rank of assistant or associate professor in ambulatory care. This full-time position will be available as both a non-tenure or tenure-track appointment, and individuals with expertise in the therapeutic areas of Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Hematology/Oncology and Internal Medicine are encouraged to apply. The College seeks individuals who will strive for excellence in teaching, service and scholarship.
Successful candidates must (1) possess a Pharm.D. degree, (2) have completed a post-doctoral residency (PGY-2 preferred) or fellowship or have equivalent clinical experience, and (3) be eligible for licensure in New York State. Tenure-track applicants must demonstrate experience in grantsmanship, publication in peer-reviewed journals, ability to develop a sustainable research program. All candidates must possess strong teaching aptitude, a clear understanding of experiential learning, and a desire to work with students. Additionally, qualified candidates must display strong clinical and interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently yet contribute to a team, and excellent organizational skills.
