- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree preferred. Must have a current certification or license to operate an assisted living community according to specific State regulations.
- Experience: Two years of general management in long-term care or related field. A successful track record indicating a working knowledge of regulations relating to managing an Assisted Living community. Knowledge of total quality management principles and experience using a team approach management style.
- Supervisory Experience: Preferred one year of experience supervising others to include: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, promoting company culture, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etc.
- Other: The Assistant Administrator/Administrator in Training must be willing to relocate a reasonable distance (not beyond 60 miles unless it is the preference of the Assistant Administrator/Administrator in Training to do so) to assume such responsibilities. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds. Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related disease.
Summary of Major Functions:
Works alongside of and reports to the Administrator in directing, through key personnel, all community operations. This is a growth position for Silverado. The chief focus for this position is to learn the functions and duties of the Administrator, so as to be considered for an Administrator position at a Silverado community.
