The primary purpose of the Assistant Branch Manager is to assist in leading the branch to success by effectively contributing to the sales and operations of the branch, while delivering exceptional customer service. Such duties include managing staff, sales presentations to current and prospective customers, running transactions, processing paperwork, and use sound judgments to make educated decisions. The Assistant Branch Manager will supervise and lead the branch in absence of the Branch Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Effectively manage the day-to-day branch operations.
Teller drawer, ATM and Vault Balancing.
Process teller transactions for customers including opening new accounts.
Follow proper dual control expectations.
Adhere to bank policies and procedures for processing customer transactions.
Educate employees and customers about theft and fraud prevention.
Make effective decisions when processing exceptions for customers.
Reinforce Branch Manager expectations in achieving and exceeding company set sales goals.
Use effective techniques in cross selling, in-aisle sales, and off site opportunities to meet and exceed individual sales goals.
Show coach employees in-aisle and teach best sales practices.
Motivate and encourage employees to ensure entire staff meets and exceeds monthly sales goals.
Ensure employees have appropriate knowledge levels of products and services offered.
Support the Branch Manager in managing branch staff performance.
Participation in recruiting and selecting a cohesive and effective team.
Provide verbal and written feedback to employees on a consistent basis.
Develop staff for future promotional opportunities.
Participate in addressing inappropriate conduct, attendance and behavioral issues through discipline and or termination.
Ensure compliance with appropriate bank, regulatory and legal requirements.
Develop and promote good community relations where Guaranty Bank is located.
Provide exceptional customer service through problem resolution, education and guidance to new and existing customers.
Perform bank transactions accurately and professionally.
Assist customers with withdrawals, deposits, open new accounts, etc.
Prepare paper work and other materials for new accounts.
Provide outstanding customer service tall bank customers.
Represent the bank in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer phone calls that are received by the branch.
Deliver prompt, efficient, and accurate service.
Work with the customers to solve any complaints.
Participate in various trainings offered by the company to enhance skills and knowledge.
Learn the new products and services that are being offered by Guaranty Bank.
Work on problem solving skills to better assist customers in a professional way.
Enhance sales techniques and generate new approaches.
Assume responsibility in absence of the Branch Manager.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.

This individual must have 2-3 years of retail sales and supervisory experience.
This individual must have experience with goal based compensation.
They must also possess a sales-oriented, outgoing and professional personality.
This qualified candidate must have a proven sales record-measured by goals, strong attention to detail and customer service experience.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
The employee will regularly be required to sit, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and operate a computer.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate (computers, printer, light traffic).
