SUMMARY: GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Supports Sr. Brand Manager Fragrance
Responsible for participating in plans for business case development for new innovation and new marketing opportunities to enable growth by franchise. this includes participating in the identification of white space opportunities to fuel the product pipeline, product concept development, product features/benefits and messaging, pricing recommendations, competitive analysis, assisting in the development of promotional vehicles (pos materials), advertising, and merchandising/education tools.
Responsible for implementing, coordinating, and analyzing programs to ensure continuing growth of the philosophy fragrance category and product franchises to meet strategic company objectives.
Additionally, this role will track sell-through and results of key launches to monitor performance, making recommendations to increase the potential of each launch.
The assistant brand manager may also support the entire marketing function by taking on departmental duties as the needs arise. This can include: maintaining the team budget, overseeing sampling programs, performing NPD analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Tracks, evaluates manages competitive fragrance intelligence for category while formulating key learnings and recommendations.
Helps analyze philosophy fragrance sales and NPD sales projections to help with an overall product mix and trend evaluations.
Analyzes market information to identify trends or changes in market performance.
analyzes and tracks sales data of key fragrance sku’s and launches
Assists in developing marketing plans for fragrance including awareness plans, trial plans and sampling initiatives.
Assists with formulating recommendations for strategic public relations and grass roots/ integrated marketing plans as relative to the fragrance category.
assists in developing sales presentations to retailers
Helps develop pricing recommendations and track COG’s for fragrance based on retail and competitive analysis.
helps track and route new product footprints and product briefs following the NPD process and through creative
Helps coordinate internal and external consumer panels to test and evaluate new product submissions.
Develops key relationships with sales team to gather key competitive and brand information to incorporate it into overall plans and strategies.
Recommends objectives for products including: overall volume, share of volume, channels of distribution, promotional objectives, pricing objectives, competitive defenses, and packaging objectives.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training- preferably in consumer goods marketing or communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience. will consider strong retail beauty experience.
Strong marketing strategy and marketing plan development capability.
Exceptional project management, organization and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented, results driven
Well established analytical skills; interpreting data, formulating conclusions, developing strategies based on facts
Passionate about understanding the philosophy customer and associated behavior, and the ability to translate findings into meaningful, prosperous long-term customer relationships
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices, or a demonstrated enthusiasm of the category
Excellent computer skills required
Ability to communicate with multiple departments, including sales, marketing, planning, warehouse/distribution, finance and multiple levels of management. exceptional proven ability to work across functional areas and work as a team.
Can handle multiple and changing priorities and remain flexible.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals – calculate per change and cagr.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Complete computer proficiency; to include e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
