TASC seeks an Assistant Controller a minimum of 10 years years of experience. Individual will be responsible for assisting the accounting department in performing: monthly financial reporting, monthly analysis, DCAA audits and other special projects.
Manage the preparation of the annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures
Assist in the preparation of Incurred Cost Submissions and Disclosure Statements
Analyze P&L variances for each reporting period, budget vs. actual; provide explanations for significant variances and recommend adjustments as needed
Calculate, record and track stock-based compensation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Create, implement and communicate new accounting policies
Research technical accounting issues and author whitepapers
Oversight of accounting and compliance with annual reporting requirements of defined contribution plan and defined benefit plans
Create monthly financial models and analyze data for use in reports to executive leadership
Manage accounting for Company benefits programs
Cultivate and nurture working relationships with external audit firms, stakeholders, peers and employees
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
