The Assistant Directors of the CITL have the primary responsibility of working with the Director to provide consultation, training, project management and project development assistance to RU's faculty, deans, students and staff that support the integration, utilization and evaluation of innovative pedagogy and technology in teaching and learning.
-Knowledge in the creation, use and deployment of digital media.
- Skills with multimedia technologies including video editing software; screen-casting; audio and MIDI; Adobe Creative Suite; iOS devices; "prosumer" and/or professional video cameras; DSLR cameras.
-Two or more years of experience in higher education working with learning technologies, developing multimedia projects, or the equivalent.
-Two or more years experience designing and delivering workshops and/or instructional modules on multimedia technologies and teaching/learning.
- Ability to solve problems quickly, to work on multiple projects and to work constructively in a team environment.
- Superior interpersonal, writing and communications skills.
-Demonstrated ability to manage design challenges of complex eLearning initiatives (eg. departmental change in delivery modality, new online academic program development, development of new learning tools/techniques)
- Ability to convey complex technical information/processes to nontechnical users and experience making presentations to professional peers.
-Experience with DSLR video a plus.
