Assistant Director - Rehabilitative Services Administration

In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the supervision of all clinical staff and students and for the coordination of the department’s quality improvement and clinical education programs.
Duties include working with the clinical supervisors and clinical specialists to assign and coordinate patient related work duties, resolving any issues that impact daily function in the delivery of patient care services, and evaluating and assuring the quality of work performed in all clinical areas.
You will also be responsible for facilitating change within the department and progress toward the long-term vision of the department. You may also oversee the operations of the Inpatient Pediatric Rehab clinic.
Requires possession an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist license by the State of California; minimum of 3 years’ general patient care experience with populations across the age continuum; 2+ years’ clinical experience in an acute hospital setting; prior supervisory and/or management experience with specific responsibility for employee selection, performance evaluation, and/or quality assurance program; prior experience as a clinical preceptor and teaching to a variety of audiences; proven eligibility for a non-paid clinical faculty appointment in the SOM Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science; possession of or proven eligibility for CPR certification; and previous experience with electronic Medical Records.
Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience and/or progressive leadership responsibilities and prior experience in an Inpatient rehab setting are preferred.
