Assistant Director of Admissions – Two Positions – SUA II/Full-Time Permanent

Assists with developing and implementing the overall student recruitment plan. Responsibilities include the following: travel to high schools for visits and college fairs; interviewing prospective students and conducting group interviews on campus; conducting extensive phone follow-up with key inquiries and applicants to the University; assisting with the transfer evaluation process; developing and coordinating campus visits and special program events. Assist with the supervision of clerical and student work-study staff. Candidate must be available to travel extensively.
Required: Master’s degree required. Minimum 1-2 years specific experience with admissions and recruitment strategies in a university setting. Demonstrated competency in handling multiple projects and deadlines required. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement recruitment programs and travel schedule. Assist with developing and implementing the overall student recruitment plan. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to conduct presentations to groups of various sizes in a public setting. Strong organization and communication skills are necessary. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations preferred. Finalists for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an on-campus interview. Must have valid PA Driver’s License.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational verification and criminal background check.

Term of Appointment: Full-Time Permanent
Appointment Date: Beginning in August, 2013
Salary: $ 1,701 Bi-Weekly, Excellent benefit package.
