The

Assistant Editor

reports to the Managing Editor and is primarily responsible for supporting the research department through publishing, content creation, short-term research projects and administrative work.

Job duties:
Manage weekly deliverable publishing schedule

Ensure a varied and appropriate content mix to quota

Assist in the research of high-level content

Write weekly observation articles

Assist in project managing deliverables through production

Assist in invoice and payment processing for research department contractors

Support budget tracking

Support and implement innovations in internal production processes

Triage daily publishing issues

Qualifications

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

Demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects concurrently

Proven effective time management skills and ability to work well under pressure

Excellent organization, multitasking and prioritization skills are critical

Skilled at working both independently and in a team environment; seeks to help others excel

Perfectionism and attention to detail are critical

The ability to solve problems and implement new processes as needed

Some experience with writing about consumers, preferably for b-to-b publications

Some experience researching consumer market phenomena

Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness

Advanced computer skills
