The Westbury Hotelnow has an excellent opportunity available for aAssistant Manager to join our food beverage leadership team. Purpose: You will assist the Food Beverage Manager and other Assistant Managers with the effective and professional management of the team and with creating a positive working environment for all Food Beverage Assistants by facilitating open communication and demonstrating an unerring commitment to the hotel and to guests.Supervise and co-ordinate the daily activities within the Food Beverage outlets to provide an efficient and superior guest service.Key Responsibilities: To work with the management team ensuring the smooth running of the hotel Food Beverage operation in particular the Wilde Restaurant. Ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each department at all times.To maximise sales and profitability through creating an environment where staff are selling and up-selling, using incentives and promotions etc. To maximize profit through the consistent delivery of the highest standards of service, the optimisation of sales and the effective performance of the team.To manage and control costs i.e. payroll, wastage and to ensure stock levels are maintained to required levels.To complete rosters, weekly payroll forecasts, business turnover and gross profit margins.Ensures cash handling procedures are adhered to. Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding H S for both employees and guests. To ensure complete guest satisfaction through the prompt handling of guest queries in a friendly and efficient manner. The ideal candidate for this position: Must have previous experience in a similar role and demonstrated business/industry awareness.Experience working in a food beverage operation would be a distinct advantage.Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service.Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the luxury market.Must have the ability to lead, multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast paced environment.Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance.Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
