Reports to: Analyst, Print Investment

The following are the responsibilities and duties of the Assistant Analyst, Print Investment. This is not an all-inclusive list and will vary by account assignment.
The Assistant Analyst is the entry-level position within the Print Investment group. He/she is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance for the implementation, monitoring and stewardship of approved plans, and has the following responsibilities:
Negotiation Support:
Assist in the negotiation for make-goods as needed
Help secure compensation for circulation under deliveries
Allocate, adjust and monitor schedules to ensure delivery to client goals/network guarantees. Screen prime programming prior to air. Work with Strategy and the Strategic Business Units to meet budget requirements and coordinate commercial scheduling
Work with Analyst to gather data to facilitate the buying process including RFPs, circulation data, rate cards, closing dates, rep lists, etc.
Aid in the confirmation of positioning for each ad placement
Aid in the development of positioning reports and securing make-goods on a quarterly basis
Aid in finalizing circulation analyses reports and securing compensation for under deliveries
Media Expertise:
Develop an understanding of the print marketplace
Attend internal and external media presentations and meetings
Join Analyst in meeting with sales representatives and vendors
Attend the OMD Media Foundations Training program to learn:
Media concepts and terminology
Media fundamentals (media math, plan development, etc.)
Application of Checkmate
Media building blocks (television, radio, internet, etc.)
Presentation skills
Writing skills
Business etiquette and ethics
Keep abreast of industry trends through advertising and media trade journals
Master the latest computer software used for Agency functions

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
Interest in the principles of advertising, marketing and media
Analytical Thinking
Ability to work with numbers
Ability to work as part of a team
Verbal/Written Communication Skills
Ability to write clearly and concisely and present orally in an articulate and confident manner
Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate and interact with clients and vendors
