The Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking to fill an assistant/associate professor faculty position to fulfill teaching, research and service missions of the department and the master of public health program ( MPH ).
Responsibilities will include teaching, assessment, advising and mentoring to public health students and health professions students; research and securing extramural funding; and providing service to the community and the field of public health. Successful candidates will have demonstrated capabilities in teaching graduate courses, skill in course development, service to public health agencies, and the ability to engage in administrative processes at an academic institution.
Areas of teaching responsibility will include, but will not be limited to:
- Summer Practicum for rising college sophomores in the NEOMED six-year BS/MD program
- Elective and required courses in the MPH program
- Capstone course for the MPH program
- Epidemiology, health systems offerings for medical and pharmacy students
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or Dr.P.H. in epidemiology, public health or other related field.
