Salary: Commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. Record of scholarship and teaching appropriate to level. Specialization in Modernist Avant-grade between 1890-1950. Interest in the resonance of the Modernist Avant-garde beyond the temporal and geographic boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications: Research in social history and visual culture of the period. Additional specialization in other periods or some aspect of world art. Knowledge of emerging media and interdisciplinary associations.
Responsibilities & Requirements: The Assistant Professor will be responsible for the following:
Teach undergraduate classes and graduate seminars.
Advise MA, MFA and PhD candidates.
Participate in the administration of the department as needed.
Special Notes: This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: Spring 2013.
