: Applicants must hold an MFA in Theatre at the time of appointment; applicants with specialties in acting and directing will be considered. Candidates who demonstrate strong teaching skills and the willingness to work with, advise, and develop undergraduate students are preferred. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the mission of a liberal arts college, will be an excellent teacher interested in teaching a wide variety of theatre courses, and will direct individual students' work in productions and like experiences.
Responsibilities : The teaching load is 3-1-3, with 15-week semesters in fall and spring and a 3-week January term. Teaching responsibilities will include a wide range of Theatre courses: Acting, Directing, Script Analysis, Theatre Experience, Children’s Theatre and Stage Combat. Directing responsibilities will include two main stage productions per academic year. Additional responsibilities will include:

- Oversee and manage box office and front of house for all main stage productions
- Create and facilitate publicity materials and marketing for all main stage productions
- Faculty advisor to the student production group, Augustana College Theatrical Society (ACTS)
