Assistant Professor of Nursing
Park University’s Nursing Program is seeking a full time faculty member who likes working with a team of nurses who keep student learning and student success as their highest priority. The Assistant Professor of Nursing is responsible for teaching assigned areas of the nursing curriculum in both the Associate of Science (LPN – RN Bridge) and BSN (RN-BSN) Completion Programs. Assignments include didactic and clinical course work, support students as they improve and expand their nursing practice, and guidance of academic performance improvement processes. All full time faculty members are required to teach both face to face and online course work. This is a full time position anticipated to begin fall 2014.
The Assistant Professor works under the direction and supervision of the Chair of the Nursing Program. This position requires:
Doctorate in nursing or a related field, ABD with projected completion before May 2015, or DNP (completed or in progress)
Completed Masters Degree in Nursing
Current undisciplined Missouri RN licensure or eligibility to obtain a Missouri RN license.
Two years professional nursing experience within the last 5 years in clinical practice/administration/nursing education.
Teaching experience preferred
Offers of employment are contingent upon approval by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Official transcripts (pre-licensure program, MS with a major in Nursing, and Doctorate, must be received in the Nursing Department Office prior to MSBN approval process initiation. Contract will not be issued until MSBN approval has been received.
