The Division of Language, Literature, and Fine Arts of Gwynedd-Mercy College, a comprehensive independent Catholic college of 3,000 students located in Montgomery County, outside of Philadelphia, seeks applications for a tenure-track English position at the level of assistant professor. The candidate should have a background in rhetoric, composition and literature as well as one or more of the following areas: world literature, British literature, Romantic and Victorian literature, and the history of English.
Applicants must have a PhD in the field and show evidence of successful college teaching and research. The position carries a 4/3 teaching load and responsibility for coordinating the writing programs.
