The Department of Accounting, Taxation and Law in the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank, with a September 2013 start date. The Silberman College has AACSB -accredited undergraduate and MBA programs.

Fairleigh Dickinson, founded in 1942, is a private, coeducational university with an enrollment of more than 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students from throughout the United States and the world. The Metropolitan Campus is located 10 miles from the heart of New York City, and the College of Florham Campus is located 35 miles from New York City near historic Morristown, New Jersey. The University also has overseas campuses in Wroxton, England and Vancouver, British Columbia. Silberman College of Business, with about 1900 students on its New Jersey campuses, regularly partners with the NJ and NYC business community in delivering globally-oriented business education programs. The College is also home to the Institute for Sustainable Enterprise, The Institute for Forensic Sciences Administration and the nationally recognized Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in an Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution (or ABD nearing completion of dissertation) with evidence of or potential for high quality teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level accounting courses. The Department offers an undergraduate in accounting, MS Accounting, and MS Taxation, with over 300 majors enrolled. The normal teaching load is 9 credit hours per semester. Salary and benefits are competitive with AACSB accredited institutions.

Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
