Tenure-track position in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor, appointment date is September 16, 2014; position is subject to funding availability.

About the Department: The College of Business and Economics is AACSB accredited. The Department of Economics graduates roughly 100 majors per year (including combined majors) and has 15 full-time faculty members. Position Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics. In addition, scholarly research and publication, student advising, and participation in college and university activities are integral components of this appointment. Effective teaching and publication in referred journals are required for tenure and promotion.

Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. (or be ABD if the Ph.D. can be completed by time of appointment)
  • Record of teaching effectiveness or demonstrated clear potential
  • Demonstrated strong research ability
  • Primary field in macroeconomics and monetary economics

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups
