The Park University School for Education is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track position for an assistant professor of middle/secondary education with a STEM focus.

The position includes teaching undergraduate courses, advising students, participating actively in scholarship and research, and collaborating with colleagues in both the School for Education and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, focusing on development and implementation of education programs in middle/secondary mathematics, science, and/or related disciplines. Other responsibilities include being active in professional organizations within the discipline(s), providing service to the university and community, and other faculty-related duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in education, focusing on STEM education K-12, but particularly at the middle and/or secondary levels with an area of concentration in math, science, and/or related disciplines. Additional required qualifications include a minimum of three years teaching STEM-related courses (math, science, and/or related disciplines) in middle and/or secondary public/private schools; excellent communication skills; ability to interact with diverse constituents; and ability to work in fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in teaching at the college/university level, knowledge of online instruction, knowledge of instructional technology, and experience creating/leading professional development activities for teachers.
