The Russ College of Engineering & Technology is seeking a tenure-track position in Engineering Technology & Management ( ETM ) at the assistant professor rank. The ETM Department has extensive laboratory facilities and is well known for providing a hands-on education.
The department’s mission is to prepare students for entry into professional practice primarily to lead in the manufacturing industry. The BSETM degree program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering ( ATMAE ). Graduates of this degree program find career opportunities within manufacturing, process, applications, and sales engineering or production/operations management.
This position is focused on undergraduate development and teaching in the area of manufacturing materials & processes and applied research. Specific responsibilities will be determined at a later date based on departmental needs and applicant’s capabilities but may include: Metal Machining, Metal Fabrication & Casting, Power Transmission, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, and Robotics & Automation. All classes include hands-on lab activities.
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, Industrial Technology or a closely related field, significant progress toward a PhD, and a minimum of three years relevant industrial experience.
An earned doctorate in Engineering Technology, Engineering, Industrial Technology or closely related field, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and/or professional leadership.
