Job Summary/Basic Functions
Assistant Professor, tenure-track, 9-month appointment in the Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Northern Colorado. The position requires undergraduate and graduate teaching, supervision of graduate student research and advising, scholarly activity, including development of external funding, and clinical supervision.
This position requires an earned doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or closely related field. Certificate of Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred. ABDs will be considered if the dissertation proposal has been successfully defended and the doctorate is received within one (1) year of the starting date. Preferred area of expertise is speech sound systems and/or early childhood development, however expertise in other areas of professional practice that will support the delivery of the undergraduate ASLS degree and the MA: SLP (residential and distance) will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates whose area(s) of expertise complement those of current faculty.
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated competence in one or more of the following areas: undergraduate/graduate teaching (faculty/TA), online education, speech-language pathology, early assessment and intervention, working with diverse cultural-linguistic communities, evidence-based practice, or clinical supervision.

Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, life, and dental insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
