Primary responsibilities include teaching and development of courses and/or programs at the undergraduate level in a variety of areas such as Computer Hardware, Computer Programming, Computer Applications, Digital Electronics, Microprocessor Systems and Computer Networks. The individual must have excellent written and oral communication skills and must be committed to the continuous improvement process and the outcome-based assessment of the programs to maintain specialized accreditation. The candidate is expected to be involved in research leading to publications in scholarly and professional journals, student advisement, recruitment, university service and other scholarly activities. Teaching assignments will include both day and evening courses. The Department offers ETAC/ABET accredited Bachelor of Science degree programs in Computer Engineering Technology and in Electrical Engineering Technology.
REQUIRED: Earned Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related field, and three years of combined relevant industrial experience and teaching at the College/University level.
PREFERRED: Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification or significant additional industrial or teaching experience.
This is a full-time, 10 month faculty position.
