The position is a 10 month part-time Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Family Health Nursing course at Bryan College of Health Sciences. The position begins August 1, 2013. The position requires the individual to have an earned Master's degree in Nursing with progress toward a doctoral degree. This position requires experience in labor and delivery and postpartum nursing. Experience in teaching preferred. The position is exempt and would include approximately 32 hours of work per week including; clinical on Mondays and Tuesdays, completing evaluations and assiting with some theory content and other course duties as assigned.

The Assistant Professor of the College of Health Sciences has the potential to assume a leadership or coordinating role in the program of which they are teaching; demonstrates teaching excellence; participates in recognized activities of scholarship; participates in activities for community betterment; and is a member of a professional organization.

The Assistant Professor demonstrates implementation of the mission, vision, goals and values of the College as well as the philosophy of the division in which he/she is assigned. The Assistant Professor assumes role in systematic evaluation of the program/college and accreditation activities. The Assistant Professor is responsible for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the theoretical and clinical/lab components of assigned courses. This position would require the faculty member to attend graduation ceremonies, open houses, pinning and pledging ceremonies and other College events that are scheduled on weekends.

Minimum Qualifications :

Nursing Program: Minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing and licensure as a registered nurse in Nebraska or compact state required. Minimum of three (3) years experience in field of practice required. Minimum of one (1) year of teaching in higher education academic setting required.
