This position is for a part-time clinical only nursing faculty to teach clinical in a beginning level medical/surgical nursing course. A Masters degree in Nursing is required. Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing is also required. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Faculty duties include making assignments, doing 2 days of clinical per week, completing student evaluations, and serving on committees. This faculty member would be required to attend graduations, Exploration Days or other college events that may fall on a weekend of evening.

The Assistant Professor of the College of Health Sciences has the potential to assume a leadership or coordinating role in the program of which they are teaching; demonstrates teaching excellence; participates in recognized activities of scholarship; participates in activities for community betterment; and is a member of a professional organization.

The Assistant Professor demonstrates implementation of the mission, vision, goals and values of the College as well as the philosophy of the division in which he/she is assigned. The Assistant Professor assumes role in systematic evaluation of the program/college and accreditation activities.

The Assistant Professor is responsible for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the theoretical and clinical/lab components of assigned courses.

Minimum Qualifications :

Nursing Program: Minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing and licensure as a registered nurse in Nebraska or compact state required. Minimum of three (3) years experience in field of practice required. Minimum of one (1) year of teaching in higher education academic setting required.
