THIS IS A PAID POSITION!
Under the supervision of the program manager, and in accordance with Volunteers of America and Department of Human Services -- Division of Mental Health regulations, the assistant program manager supervises assigned staff, provides and monitors the day-to-day services provided to service recipients, and provides crisis intervention as necessary.
This position requires one of the following: a bachelor’s degree in a mental health related discipline plus two years of related work or life experience in a residential mental health setting; two years of college plus three years of related work or life experience; or a high school diploma plus five years of related work or life experience. This position shall also have a valid driver’s license.
When “related work or life experience" is relied upon to meet staff qualifications, the personnel file shall clearly document the “related work or life experience" and how it relates to the job duties and responsibilities for the position in which the individual is being hired.
On-site services and support, including residential counseling
Participation in assessment and evaluations
Assistance in supporting recreational and/or socialization activities
Crisis intervention services (but not including crisis intervention counseling)
Assistance in the development of initial and comprehensive service plans
Assistance in staff scheduling, training and orientation
Assistance with facility management
Perform all other duties as assigned.
