GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: This position is responsible for assisting in managing the smooth and efficient operation of the Hotel Restaurants, Lobby Bar, and Room Service.
REPORTS TO: Management in the Hotel or Food & Beverage Department
SUPERVISES: As instructed by the GM of Hotel, or Dir of Hotel, or Dir of Food & Bev (Level Two and Level Three Licensees)
TYPICAL PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires being mobile 100% of the shift, including maneuvering through crowded areas and climbing stairs; May require lifting, transporting, pushing and pulling items weighing up to 35 lbs; Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound; Requires normal vision range and absence of color blindness; Requires eye/hand coordination; Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols; Requires the use of telephones & other office equipment; Requires regular, predictable attendance; May require working non-traditional days/hours
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoke filled and dimly lit; Work is performed in small areas which have a 2-1/2 ft. access; Must be flexible and prepared to work variable shifts including holidays and week-ends based on business needs; Constant contact with staff and customers.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (Includes but is not limited to the following)
Maintain management presence in the bar & restaurant during operations to ensure highest quality of service through the directing of the service sequence;
Demonstrate team work between culinary and front of house;
Assist in the implementation of programs to create new business and maximize existing business;
Uphold and monitor all brand standards in the F&B operation;
Assist in the daily monitoring of revenue, payroll and costs to ensure meeting forecast;
Inspect staff as to uniforms, cleanliness, identification, etc;
Ensure a safe working environment for team members;
Prepare daily team member work schedules;
Assist in the training, counseling, and instruction of staff in proper performance of their duties & product knowledge;
Address and follow-through with all departmental maintenance and equipment needs;
Administer all employee relations policies and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
Assist in managing department-related guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken;
Create various reports as necessary and attend/hold regular meetings;
Ensure that Superior Guest Service levels are met according to Standard Operating Procedures / may work in the casino
